Fri, Feb 8 2007Daniel Radcliffe, famosly know as Harry Potter is no longer the shy boy. He caused quite a stir recently when in a series of sexy photos posed entirely nude to promote the upcoming release of Equus - a controversial play showing at London's Gielgud Theatre from next month.
One of the publicity photos for the play shows a topless and buffed Radcliffe being hugged by a naked woman "Joanna Christie". Another shows him leaning against bales of hay as he stares up at the topless woman. A third has him posing in front of a white horse.
The producers were surprised at Radcliffe's dramatic transformation. The play's producer, David Pugh, told the Daily Mail that Radcliffe had been rehearsing the nude scenes with Christie for more than a week and had overcome his initial shyness.
Also his parrent were quite shocked. "We as parents feel Daniel should not appear nude. Our nine-year-old son looks up to him as a role model. We are very disappointed and will avoid the future movies he makes", one of his parents wrote.
The 17-year-old actor admits he hit the gym to tone up for the revealing role, but he insists he has no problem appearing nude on stage if it helps his performance. For all those surprices people he says "In theory I'm naked underneath."
