first of all: (based off of what i've witnessed) women like to shop for their own purses. most straight men don't have the slightest clue of what to look for in a purse, and chances are they're going to choose something practical, and god knows practical and women rarely go together. secondly, since when is it not okay to give kitchen utensils to women, but it's great to give them to a man? i'm just kidding here--knives are pretty cool. as are power tools. but here's the thing, ladies: if you're going to give us power tools, it needs to be okay for us to give you kitchen appliances. i'm not saying we don't want the power tools, just a recognition that it's a double standard for you to claim you want a kitchenaid and then say it's not an appropriate valentines/bday/christmas gift.
