Described as a "rare opportunity" by the estate agent, the aptly named Rock Cottage in Wolverley, Worcestershire, was last occupied in the late 1940s.
The house, which is hewn out of a sandstone cliff and comes with three adjoining caves, has generated more than 50 requests for viewings.
The cottage has no electricity or water supply and it's conceded that it is open to question whether it would be suitable for habitation.
But the property, which is due to be sold on soon with a guide price of £25,000, does boast a front door, windows and fireplaces, as well as a pantry, a sitting room and a bedroom. It also comes with five acres of land.
The home, which is hewn out of a sandstone cliff and comes with three other adjoining caves, has generated a large amount of interest, including more than 50 requests for viewings. Auctioneer Daniel Lovatt, of Kidderminster-based estate agency Halls, said: "The auction offers a unique opportunity to purchase a property with a difference. How many people can say they own a cave home?"
The cave also includes nearly five acres of mixed woodland and garden land and is being auctioned on Wednesday following the death of the previous owner.
honesly it looks more like ruing, but for the more adventures types maybe it would be a choice for a lifetime.
